New jogger needs advice: achy joints, sore feet. I'm using a jogging stroller and fairly restricted to road/sidewalk surfaces in a small geographic area.

My dog is very active. I like to jog long distances. When we run on the lead he pulls and gets distracted by wildlife. Is there a better lead solution? Personal electric fence? How can I get him to run by my side? Must he be condemned to a mostly sedentary lifestyle? He is a Pointer.

I am trying to get back into a regular exercise habit, but I seem to always have things that I have to do right after work. How do I, as a habitual snooze-button-hitter, become a morning exercise person?

Please recommend music I can listen to while I run! The more intense, the better. Video game music often works, but I'm open to anything that makes me feel like I never want to stop. Examples of what I love best inside.

I decided to exercise! Hurrah! So I bought me a skipping rope and decided to start jogging. Unfortunately, my body is not liking the idea (especially my knees). Help?

Recommend me some music to run to. My current favorite album to run to is Justin Timberlake's FutureSex/LoveSongs: it's pretty good musically, a little cocky in the lyrics, and is paced perfectly, leading me to run between 8:15 and 8:45 miles. I'd appreciate any suggestions to provide variety, saving me from the embarrassment of having JT as my top artist on last.fm.

Joggers, Hikers and Marathon walkers, your attention please! I love to walk, but experience troubles with chafing. For particularly long walks (5 hours and beyond), I used to use a product called Chafe Eez, manufactured by a now apparently defunct company called Second Wind. [more inside]

About a week ago, I started jogging a mile a day and already I've noticed I've been getting kind of a second wind maybe 2/3 of the way in and my time has been going down quite a bit. Does anyone know the reason or the science behind the body getting used to being pushed? Also, does anyone know the proper breathing techniques for runners? I have some unreliable information saying it should all be through the nose. Need a second opinion.
