What simple Indian dish should I bring to a traditional Thanksgiving dinner?

I'm making Thanksgiving dinner with my American friend for her German host family. We want to share a little of our American "Thanksgiving culture" with them. My family in Maine always gets Indian carryout. What to do? My friend is used to the completely typical American Thanksgiving dinner, so we are making a turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, potatoes, etc. I am a vegetarian who has eaten Indian food on Thanksgiving for as long as she can remember, and I want to bring something familiar to this meal, too. I cook a fair amount of Indian food at home in the U.S., but everything I can think of making here is either really time-consuming or doesn't go with this meal at all. Does anyone have any ideas/recipes for something to make? It doesn't have to be authentically Indian, maybe just something with spices that'll remind me of my Thanksgivings at home. Maybe a desert? Appetizer?

What is there to do in Pforzheim?

What is there to do in Pforzheim, Germany? I am an exchange student living in a small village outside of Pforzheim, Germany. I have been here for 1 1/2 months, and so far I have been feeling a little at a loss for what to do around my town. I have lived my whole life in a city, and to me, Pforzheim seems a little small and depressing.

What is there to do in Pforzheim besides going to the ugly mall and the Schmuck museum? I do not drink, but I like coffee, art, music, etc. I also have no friends, so I need suggestions for solitary activities (no bowling, for example.)

Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

How to track down past host family?

How to track down my host family from six years ago? I went on an exchange to Germany as a teen and after returning, lost track of the family that hosted me. Since it was a while back, information from that exchange was not kept by my high school.

All I have now is the name of the mother of the family, as well as that of her daughter (who should be about 20 or 21), and the name of the high school the daughter and I attended. I also have their address at the time, and although I plan on writing them, I would like to know where I can find them online. I can read German well enough, but I am awful at speaking or writing it, which will make contacting them a little difficult. The girl my age likely still speaks fluent English.

Crossing their names and the city in Google gave me no results. It's easy to find most young, internet-using Americans on Myspace or Facebook, but those sites had no results for the names I searched. What social networking sites are popular with German teens? Would you recommend any German people search websites or other popular German sites I may not have checked?

Thanks!

How to make a small profit with currency if you have regular access to the Euro and Slovak Crown? I'm not really sure how to phrase this question, but i am regularly in germany and slovakia and the euro has much more value than the slovak koruna (1 euro is 34.44 koruna). How do i make a small profit when using these two currencies?
and also how can i follow the exchange rate to make profit?
