Outlook Web Access calendar subscription

How to access two outlook exchange calendars from completely different domains side-by-side i work for two independent organizations. One of them has provided Outlook 2007 via Exchange 2003 and the other has provided OWA via Exchange 2003.

Each Organization provides a calendar. One is accessed as an exchange account in Outlook 2007 using <domain1> and <user1>. The other is via OWA at https://<domain2>/exchange/<user2>/calendar.

I would like to access <domain2> via outlook 2007 as well so I can easily compare the two calendars. I tried to subscribe to <calendar2> in Outlook using this address: webcals://<domain2>/exchange/<user2>/calendar but Outlook wants the subscription to include a specific file name like ical in order to work.

Any Ideas how i can get these two calendars side-by-side?

Thanks!</user2></domain2></calendar2></domain2></user2></domain2></user1></domain1></user1></domain2></user2></domain2></calendar2></domain2></user2>

Gmail, Exchange, Outlook, oh my! Please help sort this through.

Gmail, Outlook, and Sync oh my! How do I sort through this? Last week, I left my job. I got to keep my smartphone (Samsung on Verizon Wireless running Windows Mobile 6). At my job, I had used the phone to sync with our Exchange Server for WORK, and logged into Gmail using the Web browser for PERSONAL.

Unfortunately, I was not able to save and backup my contacts and calendar before leaving. So all that's gone. Trust me, it's a bummer.

So I'm trying to re-create my setup and achieve productivity nirvana (or nerdvana). Here are the goals I'm trying to accomplish:

-- I would like to keep my Gmail account since I've used it for years and everyone knows me on it.

-- I want to remain flexible enough so that I can still sync to future employer's Exchange Server.

---------------------

Here is how it all breaks down:

MAIL:
-- Phone: Using Gmail (via IMAP)
-- Desktop: Using Outlook 2007 (via IMAP). I detest Gmail's interface (please, no flames). It's dogslow, but it works. Molto bene!

CALENDAR:
-- Phone: ????
-- Desktop: Using Outlook 2007.
How do I get my Calendar on Outlook 2007 to sync with the phone? Should I use a third-party app like Oggsync or syncmycal?

CONTACTS:
-- Phone: ???
-- Desktop: Using Outlook 2007.
Same deal. How do I get them all in sync? Google has Contacts, but I hear they don't sync all that well.

TASKS
-- Phone: ???
-- Desktop: Using Outlook 2007.
How do I get the Tasks on Outlook 2007 to sync with the phone? Should I use a third-party like Remember the Milk?

This seems like an awful lot of overkill.

So I just went and signed up for a domain and a Hosted Exchange account. My first thought was that I figured I could just use the hosted exchange account for Tasks, Contacts, and Calendar, and use Gmail for Email. I'm starting to get second thoughts, though. Who pays $8-10/month just for Tasks, Contacts, and Calendar? This seems overkill, too.

All I want to do is be able to keep my Gmail for email, but also use Outlook 2007 on my desktop. That's the key. I want to be able to continue to use Outlook 2007 for Tasks, Contacts, and Calendar.

If anyone could help out on this, I would be immensely grateful.

cheers,
Web-based appointment scheduler for Exchange?

Does anyone know of a web-based appointment scheduler that integrates with Exchange? I have several advisors who see students, and I would like to add a feature to our website to allow students to see available times and schedule an appointment with his/her advisor. We use Exchange, and to really meet my requirements the system would need to integrate directly with an advisor's calendar, or at the very least allow an appointment to come through as a "proposal" that the advisor could then save directly to his/her calendar.

The closest I have found so far is this. Overall it looks ideal, but it only does RSS feeds and/or import of calendar data. However, it should give a good overview of what I'm looking for.

If a solution doesn't already exist, does anyone know if it's even possible to build something like this? Or is Exchange too locked down?

Thanks in advance!

outlook is sending my meeting planners everywhere but the right place

In Outlook 2003, all my appointments are being put on calendars associated with my *.pst files, instead of the calendar in the main Exchange folder. It's totally screwing up my workdays, as you might guess. Details inside. First thing to know is that I work out of *.pst files for all incoming and outgoing mail. Everything in & out, except meeting planners, is put by a rule into the current *.pst file for the current quarter. Every quarter I start a new one.

I want all my calendar items to remain in the main exchange folder, because I need to look forward beyond the quarter end for appointments.

HOWEVER, for some unknown reason, at some point in the quarter, calendar requests start getting put on a calendar folder in my currently quarterly folder, and I don't see them, because I'm only looking at the calendar in the Exchange folder.

When I create the quarterly *.pst file, there's not calendar item in it. Somehow at some point it's getting created, and meeting requests get put on it.

How do I get rid of the calendar in this *.pst file?

How can I access the internal ICS file generated by Outlook when sending a meeting invitation?

How can I access the internal ICS file generated by Outlook when sending a meeting invitation? I need to see the ICS attachment that is generated upon sending a meeting invitation (Outlook 2003, Exchange 2007). I know I can go into my own calendar and save an appointment as an ICS file, but I suspect there is a difference between the ICS file that is exported from my own calendar vs. the one that is sent when I invite other attendees.

I deal with ICS/iCAL files from time to time while working with BlackBerry devices. It's easy enough to create an ICS file that a BlackBerry will accept (and is quite neat that an entire month's worth of appointments can be embedded into a single ICS), but many of the problems and glitches we run into involve ICS files that are generated from Outlook, or ICS files that are generated from the BlackBerry itself and sent back to our Exchange server.

Unfortunately we don't use BlackBerry Enterprise Server so I am routinely hacking together solutions involving VCARD and ICS files.

In the past, I could send an invite to say, Yahoo Mail or perhaps even GMail and would be able to open the "meeting.ics" attachment. Now this does not work; GMail seamlessly handles the ICS file rather than letting me muck around with it. Yahoo and Hotmail happily devour it and leave no indication it ever existed.

Perhaps I just need to be made aware of some advanced options I'm not seeing in those webmail products; it'd be nice if there was a webmail site out there that let you really dig into the raw MIME-encoded guts of your email for purposes like this.

Is there a way to use a google calendar and outlook exchange without completely mixing the two and can they be synced differently on different computers?

Is there a way to use a google calendar and outlook exchange without completely mixing the two and can they be synced differently on different computers? I have a work computer and a home computer (both Windows XP). At home I use google calendar. At work they use outlook exchange. I am now in the market for a PDA phone. I am looking at both WM6 Pro and Palm. I will probably end up with the palm but I am not sure at the moment. (I have unlimited data on my phone if that makes a difference.) Ok... those are all the background details.

Here is the question: I want the PDA to only partially sync with my work computer and completely sync with my home computer. Meaning I want my calendar/schedule from work to upload to the PDA but I don't want my personal address book or other information to be saved to the work computer. At the same time, when I sync at home, I want my personal calendar on the PDA also. I want both calendars to be visible on the PDA but when I go back and sync it at work, I don't want my personal calendar to be synced with my office computer. Is there a way to do this? Can calendars be kept separately? Also, to do this, is it preferable to use WM over Palm OS or vice versa?

I there a way to have Exchange email or SMS meeting reminders to your cell phone? I want to have email / sms reminders of meetings in my Exchange calender sent to my cell phone. Is there a cheap / easy way to set this up w/o getting the Exchange admin involved. If I have to get them involved, how complicated is that?

Can I have Outlook/Exchange forward calendar events to Google calendar? I want to have a copy of all my business appointments from Exchange show up on my Google calendar.. Is there a way to have Outlook / and or Exchange forward those appointments as they appear show they show up on my personal Google Calendar?
save me from exchange!

Save us from exchange! Are there any alternatives (preferably open source) for calendaring we can use rather then exchange? The sales guys at my company want to be able to synch up their calendars so that everyone can see what everyone else is doing, and they'd like to be able to do it in outlook. The problem is that we (the developers) don't want to run exchange. The sales guys need to travel, and be able to use their calendars without being online, so web-based systems won't work.

I have no idea what's involved in business calendaring, but we basically need something that works as well as outlook without the need to use exchange server. I think what this entails is that they'd be able to add an entry on their PDA or laptop, have it synch up with the main system whenever an internet connection is available.

Synchronize OS 10.4 with MS Exchange

Can I synchronize my email/calendar/tasks with an MS Exchange server? I have Mac OS 10.4, Mail.app or Entourage 2001. I use an MS Exchange server at work. Currently, I can send/receive email via Entourage 2001 using my "work" email address from home, as long as I am signed into VPN. However, my sent email does not show up in my sent folder at work, it stays on my folder at home. Also, I would like to have my tasks and calendar synchronized between home and work, such that when I enter a new task, etc at work, it will automatically show up at home. I do not have Entourage 2004, and cannot afford to purchase it. Does Mail.app in Tiger offer Exchange server compatibility? I do not have a .Mac account, so I cannot use iCal to sync. Any help is appreciated.
