Uberup? Or uberdown

Uber pushups? Or am I just kidding myself. Every night, about 3 hours after dinner, I usually do 120 pushups, three sets of 40, or four sets of 30, depending on how I feel that night. Recently, my a friend suggested that I put my legs up on something higher while doing them. So I did. I take my computer chair and crank it to the highest position and put my feet up there. Furthermore, I take two 1000+ page books and I put them on the floor where I put my hands, and put my hands on them. I go down to the point where my face touches the ground. I try an maintain good form (back straight, only toes touching the chair etc)

Now here's the question: It feels like this pushup is a lot tougher than a normal pushup. My arms elbow goes down to make an angle that is less that 90 degrees, and I'm a lot more tired after. (I can't even do the full 120 anymore). But, is this really a good idea? Am I actually benefiting from added resistance? Or even worse, could this be potentially damaging in any way?

Where do I find a good elliptical trainer in Ottawa?

I'm looking for a good elliptical trainer in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Where do I look? I can't personally stand running, swimming isn't an option, there are no gyms close enough that would be convenient enough that I would use them, and as a sweaty guy with no shower at work, cycling as transportation is out too. I weighed all the options and decided that I really like the idea of busting out with an elliptical trainer while watching TV in the evenings.

Problem is, I can't figure out where to get one. My current best bet is Sears, but they've always been a little expensive for my tastes. Wal-mart has absolute trash for selection. Where else can I look?

Also, what should I be looking for in an elliptical trainer? My price range is approximately $500.

Help me develope a morning routine

What morning routine has worked for you? I'm currently working at a church before starting med school in the summer, and pretty much make my own hours. This has caused me to slowly shift the 9-5, to 10-6, and I fear I may be slipping back even farther. So I ask, masters of the green, what works for you? What should I do with my mornings?

I would like to be a morning person, I have been in the past. I also used to be in pretty good shape, perhaps I should go down that road. Should I go for a run? Write a novel? Ride my bike? Hit the gym? Read the paper? Learn a language? Say 'Screw it all' and sleep in? There are many books and websites out there, but I'd rather hear the brutally honest voice of MetaFi.

I'll go with whatever the consensus is, if there happens to be one. And yes, I saw this question but I'm not ready to admit my internet addiction yet.

Thanks in advance!

Why do I burp when I run?

Why do I always burp or feel like I have to burp when I go running? This happens even if it has been several hours since I last ate. It doesn't happen every single time, but probably 80% of the time. I like running, its just gross getting a taste of that yogurt you ate 2 hours ago when its 100 degrees outside. Anyone have similar problems? Anything you can do to solve this?

Dunking a basketball

It's been a life time goal of mine to dunk a basketball. Any tips and advice on how to attain this goal? I'm 20, 5'11" and in pretty good shape, but my vertical is near where it needs to be. If there was a pretty solid plan to achieve this, I'm pretty convnced I'd work decently hard at it. I'm open to trying anything!
