I have an Excel Spreadsheet (using Excel 2003). Rather than creating formulas to answer ad hoc questions that I have, I would like to be able to quickly type in a SQL querty against the data in the spreadsheet. So, I could scroll down to the bottom of the sheet to see how many rows I have, OR I could type" select count(*) from data_table" instead. I prefer the latter. Any suggestions? [more inside]

I've spent the past day or so trying to figure out how to calculate a hidden value in my data. It varies linearly with time, or closely enough that we can make that assumption within any given dataset. Where this goes beyond a simple linear regression is that each datapoint is known to be above or below the hidden value. The data is collected in a C# program and processed in Excel; an Excel function would be the ideal solution. [more inside]
Our lab uses Excel to record vital data about the participants in our studies. We usually record a date of birth and the date a child was run in separate cells. However we've had no luck creating a formulatthat calculates the person's age (in months, or in years;months) based on those two other cells. As a result of having to do it by hand, errors often occur. Ideally, I'd like to customize how rounding happens, but at this point I'll take what I can get.

Is there a way to export email headers from Outlook to excel or a csv file, so I can sort them by time and count up my trips?

There are just to many to go through and add this to each one. [more inside]
