I work in West Harlem on 135th St. and 8th Ave. I love all types of food, but especially meaty, flavorful foods like oxtail stew. Where should I go? I'm a grad student with a 45-minute lunch break, so the cheaper and closer to work, the better!

I live in a diverse community with a large population of folks of Ethiopian descent and recent Ethiopian immigrants. Children from amharic speaking families are probably in the majority at my son's grade school, which is within walking distance, so I find myself often strolling along with a number of Ethiopian moms, many of whom are just learning english- and they have been introducing me to some very basic amharic- hello, good morning, thank you.. just a few words at this point.

Looking for good, CHEAP ethiopian food in DC. I'm taking a bunch of grad students out later this week for Ethiopian food (they all just got here). I just moved back here too, and I'm not sure what's outside of Adams Morgan and U Street (Meskerem, Addis Adaba, Dukem) in terms of Ethiopian...i know there's cheaper places in Arlington and Silver Spring. Does anyone have any suggestions for cheap and GOOD food?
