Can someone help me to locate an episode of Colbert from a few years back--Comedy Central's search engine is not as versatile as I was hoping for. This is what I remember: Stephen is doing an interview with a woman who's suffering from cancer (can't remember if it's terminal or not) and she says that when she was first diagnosed she kept being told that she should be tough and positive and that if she was positive she could "beat" cancer, but all she really wanted to do was feel sad and not have to fake her emotions, and she made a really profound argument for pessimism that I want to show my students. Any ideas?
It features a Denmark or Swedish divorced woman living in a "commune" with about 5-8 people of varying ages from (probably) 13-50. [more inside]

A relative of mine is about to crash after a month-long manic episode. Our family has realized that a long-term care plan needs to manifest ASAP so our lives don't get torn apart every time said relative has an episode as bad as this. I'm looking for interesting podcasts, but a lot of previous questions about them have recommendations for the whole podcast serieses, and I would like recommendations for SPECIFIC EPISODES. Think of your one or two or three favorite podcasts, and please link specifically to your ONE FAVORITE EPISODE of the podcast. I am looking not just for a Podcast name, but an easily-clickable link to your FAVORITE EPISODE of the podcast. Anything is fine - information, comedy, narrative, improv, whatever you like. Just your FAVORITE EPISODE. Thank you!

Looking for more examples of a plot. Well, more of a structure really. The one from Noises Off, where you are shown how the story should go, then they go through it again, only this time everything goes wrong. Bonus points if they go through it a third time, and it absolutely explodes. [more inside]

I distinctly remember seeing an episode of My Little Pony (original series, around 15 years ago) that involved the ponies using some sort of walk/ride through (via conveyer belt) machine to clean themselves or make themselves up pretty - somewhat like a car wash. Did such an episode really exist? I'll be stumped if it didn't, it's so clear in my mind. [more inside]
Last year or so, I listened to a radio show on NPR that aired. The basic premise of the show (I think) was very similar to This American Life and was an eclectic mix of interviews of regular old folks, to talking about issues related to living life in general. One of the episodes dealt with two sisters who had run away and they told their story through a series of vignettes about their experiences. Another episode (I think) was an interview of siblings who are gay. The show was only about an hour long each week, but ended up being cancelled due to $$ issues (it's not News & Notes or Day to Day, I've already checked). I'm trying to figure out what the show was!! Any ideas? It was a very grassroots-ey type, low-budget, etc. Thanks MeFi!
Last night PBS aired an episode of Globe Trekker in which Megan McCormick visits Hong Kong and Taiwan (Ep #909). I'd like to know the original air date of the episode. Does anyone know where I can find it?

Does anyone remember the last episode of that old ABC show Dinosaurs (you know, with the puppets?) Something just triggered some strange memory of the last episode and I seem to remember all the characters kicking the bucket (even the baby). Is that what happened? Is there a detailed synopsis of this episode somewhere on the web? Tvtome doesnt have it to much detail. It was called "Changing Nature," i believe.
