I am an AT&T Customer with an iPhone 5. I am traveling to London, Paris, and Dusseldorf this summer and don't want to get killed with international data and cell charges. Plus I want good apps for translation, maps, etc. What's the best way to do this, and would I be better or worse off with an Android phone (Galaxy S4 or HTC One)? Any first-hand experience would be awesome.

I'm going to Chaudes-Aigues (France) in early July and I currently live in England (York). What are my (best) options for getting there? Would like to fly out of Manchester if at all possible, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what airlines and airports I should be looking into at the France end and how feasible train/bus travel is to/from places there. Thanks!

My wife and I are going to Norwich next weekend. We'll spend four days there. What should we do? Challenge: we'll have our small dog, but she can stay in our hotel room for a few hours, while we tour stuff. We just can't go too far out that we'd have to leave her all day.

I'll be traveling in Scotland and England for a couple of weeks in February, mostly by bus. I'm an inveterate iPhone user, always tweeting, checking-in, posting photos and so on ... but I know that route will lead to financial madness. So what's best to do? I know I can jailbreak, unlock my iPhone, perhaps use another SIM card while traveling, but is the effort worth doing? Is it better to leave the iPhone at home in the US and grab a pay-go smartphone upon arrival in Edinburgh (and if so, how best)? Or do I bring the iPhone and use it via wifi only, hoping I don't slip and fall into a welcoming bit of 3G along the way?

My son, a soccer player and avid Manchester City and Manchester United fan, is turning 17 on the date of the Man City vs Man United match (April 28th, 2012). Since we were considering a trip to Europe next year, the stars all seemed to be in alignment for us to schedule our visit around his birthday. I wrote to inquire about tickets for the match
. In return, I received a lovely reply...but I don't understand it! Please hope me.

Everton FC hosts the Queen's Park Rangers on August 20th. I would like to see this match, and am willing to pay for a good seat. What's the best way for an American to buy a single ticket? Can I just show up at Goodison Park on the day of the match? Should I order a ticket in advance and have it shipped to the U.S.? Buy a ticket once I reach England in mid August?

I will be in London on business in late April, and would like to see at least one play or musical while I'm there. Can you please recommend a good (or critically-acclaimed) play or musical, or a website where I can find recommendations? I'll be there alone and will be looking for individual tickets - is it likely I'll be able to get singles for sold-out shows on the day of?

In a couple of weeks I will be traveling from the USA to England and would like to use my iPhone 3G while I am there. I would like to purchase a sim card from three.co.uk because that's the network all my family (who live in the UK) use. Am I correct in assuming that I'll need to jailbreak first before I can use a different sim card?
