I am transgender (transsexual MTF). I am self-medicating and I need to go legit. I am looking for a recommendation for a therapist in NYC (and possibly an endocrinologist) who is accepting new patients and is willing to work with the fact that I am self-medicating (and hoping to stop self-medicating and go legit).

Is there an endocrinologist in the L.A. area (preferably near Hollywood) that you'd recommend?

Total noob here. I'd like to find a friendly/thorough endocrinologist in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, and I'd also like to hear general advice about getting thyroid/hormones tested.

Need recommendations for an internist and/or endocrinologist in the metro Denver area, for myself and my husband. Difficulty: We want someone who will skip the weight loss lecture because they realize we've heard it a million goddamn times already and the only thing it's ever done is make us not want to go to the doctor. We don't want the "OMG don't you know fat is bad for you, hurf durf buttereater" crap from here either-- go kick a puppy or something. We only want to know about doctors that will respect our wishes.

Followup to an earlier health-related question. Kind of long; more under the cut.

Our son may have growth hormone deficiency. The endocrinologist has recommended some additional testing, and the process sounds terrible. Has your child been through this? Can you tell us how it went? Are there alternatives?

Is my thyroid underperforming, or am I just being a hypochondriac? My TSH level is 3.47 and my primary care physician thinks I'm fine. But I don't feel quite right. The endocrinologist is expensive and takes forever to get an appointment with. I just want to know if I'm wasting my time.
