Need ideas on how to represent "computer" in tattoo

I have an idea for a half-and-half forearm tattoo (like this) where one half will be filled in such a way to represent computation, computers, electronics, artificial intelligence, something like that. Trouble is, I can't think of something appropriate that would work in a tattoo. Need ideas for this fill! Requirements and current ideas: [more inside]

Thin, light, and 1080p laptop

I'd like a thin and light 1080p laptop. It does not need to be powerful, but it does need to be cheap. I'd like to spend about $300, but it must be under $500. The perfect machine would be something like a chromebook, but with a higher res screen than the ones I'm aware of. The resolution requirement trumps the thin and light requirements. [more inside]

Looking for a tool to reccommend a laptop configuration

Is there a tool online that might be able to tell me what parameters I would want for a new computer (probably laptop) given my current patterns of use? Looking in stores leads me to think I don't need the high end models but I'd hate to buy something only to find out I should have sprung for the extra RAM. [more inside]

(Electronics) Cylinder in computer cable - what is it?

So, on lap top power cables, and USB cables, what is that cylindrical object near the end? Kind of like if the cable was a snake, the snake had gotten hungry and just swallowed a plump, unfortunate hamster. (Or a thirsty, unfortunate snake had swallowed a can of soda.) What is it? What's it called? And what does it do? - Digest electrons?
