Help me find a device (or two devices) that will take pictures, and then easily convert these pictures to PDFs. Alternatively, persuade me to buy an iPad!

I messed up my travel packing, and I now need to buy a charger for a Canon S95 camera battery in St. Petersburg, Russia. Is there any place where I could get one for a reasonable price? I'm staying downtown.

Best camera for indoor/low light conditions about $500ish --without use of a flash preferably. Difficulty: Must be available at Best Buy or somewhere immediately available.

My camera fell into a lake. Yikes! Took it home, let it dry in a bowl of brown rice and now it turns on (Yeah!) but the screen shows the view as a monotone blob of something. Help!

I'm overwhelmed by the wealth of conflicting opinions I've found by google-searching. Anyone have strong feelings about what brand/type of camera and power devices I should buy before traveling to Vietnam?

Does anyone know of a service that creates or modifies custom electronics? For instance, I review a lot of concerts for various web sites and would love to have something like a decent quality 0 lux video cam w/ sound that's housed in a cell phone. Don't need any phone functions, just something inconspicuous to film small parts of the show for the review. Something that looks like a phone but is really a good low light video cam. Any suggestions?

My camera's video recording option is limited to 30 seconds which I think was done to prevent people from using it as a video camera and therefore drive sales for other products.
I think that sucks. I should be able to record to my heart's content
Does anyone savvy know of any way to hack the software/firmware to remove the 30 second limit?

Should I let other people use expensive and easily breakable pieces of portable electronics I have like a camera or Palm? Especially if I rely on them like the latter?

My parents recently gave me $400 as a present, with the express condition that I use it to buy something (which means I can't save or invest it). Originally, they were going to get me an iPod, but I already have one. I'm thinking about a digital camera, so my question is: Does anyone have any suggestions for a good camera, or perhaps some other neat electronic gadget, in this price range?
