Electronica-scored "Fantastic Planet"/"Planete Sauvage"?

Years ago I saw a version of the classic weird animated sci-fi movie Fantastic Planet (Planete Sauvage) where the sounds and dialogue had been completely replaced by electronic music from Venetian Snares, Matmos, and the like. I can't find it anywhere - all the sites that blogged about it link to the same outdated video link. Anyone have a line on it? [more inside]

Klaus Schulze vs Jean Michel Jarre

Klaus Schulze vs Jean Michel Jarre - so why is Jarre well known? My question is why Schulze has more than 40 albums to his name (according to the web) or many more than Jarre at least, but is still the lesser known of the two. I only discovered Schulze recently, but I love his music so far from several different albums. I guess this is a question on musical history. [more inside]

Depictions of the 90's Rave scene in books, movies and TV.

I'm working on a writing project partially set in the 1990's underground rave scene in America, and I'm gathering research materials -- books, movies, tv, etc -- that will help me set the stage. I'm interested in both the underground rave scene as it really was, as well as its depiction in popular media, however warped/sensationalized -- basically, anything that could help me build a fully-formed immersive world for my audience, the way Mad Men has done for its time and place. Music that goes BLEEP BLOOP FIZZZ HUSSSSSSSSSSHHHH BOOM in no discernible order?

Where can I study electronic music?

Over the last few years I've become very passionate about the pursuit of electronic music, and I'd like to become very proficient at sampling/remixing/dj-ing etc. Having been inspired by artists such as Daft Punk, Justice, the Twelves, etc., I would love to be able to do what they do, but many of their production techniques are completely beyond me. Are there any schools/programs out there that can teach me the skills to become a professional-level electronica artist? Ideally I would like to find a degree program in electronic music, rather than a diploma or certificate.
