How to nail the GRE's

Open to any and all recommendations on the most efficient way to study for the GRE (focusing on writing and grammar). My GPA in college was meh (3.0). So I really need to have a nice shiny test score to go along with my floating-by transcript in order to get into top choice schools. Any advice on courses, sites, studying regimens etc. to go into this thing as ready as possible? [more inside]

What are my chances of getting into a graduate program?

I have an bachelors degree is business but want to get my masters in education. I'm applying to Hunter College's School of Education in NYC. What are my chances if I do not meet the admissions requirements for an undergraduate major in liberal arts or science. This is a link to the admissions requirements page: In general, what are the chances of getting into a graduate program? What do admissions look for when selecting prospective students? Are Hunter's graduate programs for education competitive to get into? Can I lower my chances of getting acceptance if I submit my application too close to the deadline?

What is the best degree to pursue? MBA v. MS

What do you think of a Masters in Information Technology versus an MBA? I am passionate about new media/emerging tech but also know I want to be in business. Would I be cutting off too many options if I just went for an MS versus an MBA? What about dual degrees? Do they exist at top institutions?

What further education do I need to be taken seriously as I re-enter the workforce?

I've been out of work for a number of years, by choice, staying at home to raise my kids. I have a Bachelor's in Education with a minor in English from back in 19mumblemumbleyear, and even if it were up-to-date, my life has taken a different turn, and I don't feel that teaching is for me any more. With this kind of background, if I don't teach, I am pretty much, as one of my English teachers once put it, an "educated un-employable." What further education do I need to be taken seriously as I re-enter the workforce? [more inside]
