My s.o. is applying for a medical residency in the US. We'll know where we're going to be placed in mid-March and chances are good that we'll end up in Baltimore, New Haven or Providence. I work in a field with very limited options in these three places and I'm wondering what I can do over the next few months, if anything, to prepare in case I have to move and get a new job.

When did certain film makers/producers start placing the title of the film at the very end of their film? I've noticed this tends to happen with independant/art-house style films? The film just begins and at the very end of the movie, the screen will flash the title of the film and then the credits will roll. Does someone know who started this?

Despite being a great fan of Connie Willis, I had to give up on
Blackout/All Clear when I was barely a hundred pages into
All Clear because it had been such a meandering, repetitive read. (
Others have been able to finish it, but share my frustration). Two brief, related questions: 1) Can someone please summarize what happened in the rest of the book? (Yes, SPOILERS!) and 2) What the hell is happening to Willis' editors, given that her novels have been getting more lengthy and repetitive?
The Doomsday Book (1993) was perfectly sized for its story.
Bellwether (1997) was a little repetitive, but it was relatively short and funny, and I enjoyed it overall. Her 2002 novel
Passage, although a satisfying book in the end, was a maze of twisty little passages, all alike, for the first chunk as well. And then she delivered bouncing baby Buicks in the form of
Blackout/All Clear this past year. Why?

I am looking for an app for my iPad that allows me to save word documents from the Internet, open them and edit them preferably with a handwriting ability, on the iPad without having to filter them through googledocs or convert them to PDFs. I am basically looking to eliminate having to go through another normal computer from the process so that I can download, view and edit my class note outlines right in class on my iPad. Any app suggestions? I am willing to invest a bit of money in an app if it does what I want.

This is a Final Cut question:
I would like to show an image with a video inside it. More specifically, so the question is clear, I would like to show (in my video) a fake website that has an embedded video. So, "the website" will be a still image, but there is video within it. I hope that's clear. Would really appreciate any help!

It's been years since I participated in Wikipedia, and I am not sure of the current culture and best practices.
