Can I still make good Mexican food without nightshades?

I've been directed by my naturopath to avoid nightshades (tomatoes, peppers, chilies, and others) as a way to improve my eczema. It has been helping so far, but I'm finding I really, really miss Mexican food. I'm talking about the standard stuff: salsa, tacos, fajitas, chilli, YUM. Do you know of any good nightshade substitutes that could be used in these dishes? Or any alternative recipes for these items that do not contain the forbidden foods?

Does eczema ever go away?

I've been struggling with a few growing patches of eczema on my hand for about four months now, and it is really starting to have consequences for my quality of life. It's getting to the point where I'm becoming quite depressed and am starting to isolate myself from my normal social situations, and I can't partake in my favourite hobby (cooking) because of the way it causes my skin to flare up, no matter how careful I am. My questions are, will a moderate case of eczema clear up on its own spontaneously, and what else can I do to care for it? [more inside]

How should we handle carpet beetle dermatitis?

About a month ago, my partner began finding (what look like) insect bites scattered all over her body. They itch intensely but intermittently. We checked for bedbugs and found no evidence, but keep finding carpet beetles in our bedroom. My partner continues to find new bites, and it seems like she's getting them at night. Have you had any experience with "carpet beetle dermatitis?" Any telltale signs to help differentiate this from bedbug bites, ezcema, fleas, etc? Most importantly, what did you do to get rid of them? I want to smell nice. I have eczema. How can I do this?

I've been diagnosed with eczema for several years now. I'm fortunate not to have a bad case of it and I don't get many flares, but I know it's partially because I'm very careful about avoiding triggers - I use fragrance-free detergent and soap, I use Cetaphil moisturizer, I take brief, lukewarm baths, I even wash my hair with my head upside-down so the scented shampoo runs off my head instead of down my back. However, I miss using scented lotion and body spray. Is there anything out there for eczema sufferers? [more inside]

Mild cutaneous lymphoma: any experience with this?

A dermatologist confirmed today, based on the results of two biopsies, that I probably have mycosis fungoides (a mild cutaneous lymphoma). It's patch-stage, and he says it's the mildest case he's ever seen, and he's referred me to a specialist. I understand (based on a weekend of nail-biting research and his confirmation of the research) that it's usually not a big deal to have this, but I'd like to hear from people who have experience with it. Eczema School Uniform. My daughter has quite severe eczema and we're finding that the school uniforms are making her itch even more than usual, as they are not 100% cotton. Looking to you guys to help me find 100% cotton uniform items for her. She needs a shirt, Navy pinafore and white knee length socks. The main problem i'm having is finding a Long Sleeve shirt for her, those i've found so far are too big for her. She 5 now but is quite small for her age.
