Home hair colour and covering minor grey streaks: doable or foolhardy?

I have some minor grey streaks at the front of my head of dark hair. I don't want to dye the rest of my hair, or even cover all my grey. I just want to colour these particular grey hairs. I bought some L'Oreal Root Rescue (touch up dye). My plan is to mix a small amount of the dye and developer, and paint it on this streak of grey with the little brush. Is this crazy? Will it work? What am I missing here? [more inside]

Dye this dress

I bought a new dress. I very much like everything about this dress except the colour: it is white, and I look terrible in white, and I would like to wear it to a wedding where I am not the bride. I bought this dress thinking "well, I can always go to askme to find out how to change the colour", and here I am: how do I dye it? [more inside]

Color after henna

So, I used Lush henna on my hair about a year ago. It has taken that long for it to grow out and now only my ends remain the henna-d color. My roots are beginning to gray so I have a box of semi-permanent hair color I'd like to use but I'm afraid of what will happen to then ends if I use it. Is it safe?
