So early last year, we were
informed that Miramax would be gouging fans as much as possible on Kill Bill DVD releases, and that a special fancy edition would come out for Christmas. For that reason, I held off buying it. Now here it is almost new year's eve and
no fancy edition. What gives?

Rutger Hauer + Big Guns + Kim Cattrall Topless =
Split Second, a 1992 Sci-Fi flick that is selling for
too much money on Amazon. I need this flick on DVD,
not VHS, and I need it for a price less than $30. I am aware that this may well be impossible, but I've exhausted all other resources. Help me, Aski-Meta Filtari; you're my only hope.

I haven't found an explanation for this anywhere. Does anyone know why all of Woody Allen's films have been released on dvd in mono? Is this a creative decision by Allen or something else?
