Using Handbrake, is there a way to put subtitles onto DVD when they are interspersed in the real movie? Example: the movie Defiance had some English subtitles when characters spoke Russian/German. These didn't come through when I made my first trial run disc. So basically I'm asking for situational subtitles if I can call them that and not the full movie-lenght subtitle added throughout the whole movie. Thanks for your input.

My Neighbor Totoro...........I want to buy the DVD, but on Amazon a lot of people are saying certain versions are not good. There is a 2006 Walt Disney widescreen version; and then there is a 2002 full screen version that is not Disney.
What do you think the best version would be for me to get?

Does a movie studio releasing many, many different video formats (multiple SDVDs, HD DVD, UMD, VOD) of a particular movie indicate that this movie performs well at retail? Or is it more likely a desperate attempt to recoup from a disastrous theatrical run?

I'm trying to get .avi files (15 files at 300kb) onto a DVD in a DVD format so that I can see them on my DVD player. I have two DVD-making applications, WinDVD (which crashes when I try to create one) and Cyberlink PowerProducer, which took 2 hours to do 8%. My questions:
One: Does it really take that long to convert from avi to DVD and
Two: What is the best home package to create DVDs with interactive menus?

Some of my XVid movies shake when I play them, regardless of the player used. This does not happen with all XVid movies, and GSpot says they have no errors.
Also, they do not shake when I play them in my DVD player, so it's something software-related. Other than uninstalling my codecs and re-installing them, have you got any suggestions? Thanks!
