It's becoming increasingly common in the art world to see various forms of multi-channel video: works or installations in which video plays back on more than 1 screen at a time. I need to play two separate DVDs at the same time on two separate monitors. The output must be synched precisely as the two signals will work as a single "show" on two adjacent monitors. I need a reliable and idiot-proof way to do this. [more inside]

I just picked up a second monitor and am running in dual-monitor mode, but my video card also has a VIVO tv-out port which I connect to my TV. Are there video players like BSPlayer/vlc that will output to the TV, without having to swap it back in as a "secondary" monitor?
