I am planning to attempt to soundproof my ceiling of my condo. I plan to use a method that includes adding drywall/green glue between the floor joists and then adding additional drywall below. (
example)
I was wondering if there were any problems in carefully tearing down the drywall that is there and using it for the smaller areas between the floor joists (i.e., taking down larger pieces out, cutting them to size, and using them for the inner floor joist area). I'd have to get new drywall for the outside, but I am trying to minimize cost and waste.
Is this reasonable?

I live in a one-floor condo unit that was, to put it mildly, poorly built. I, and all my neighbors, have dealt with too many issues to count regarding insulation, wiring, and even window and door frames. I'm no longer satisfied fixing things one at a time...

I've been spending time in a house that's been recently drywalled and textured, including sweeping up drywall dust. Are there health implications? Should I be wearing a dust mask? How long until the place is "safe" to be in without a mask?

We live in a 160 year old stone house in Scotland that is really cold in winter. Please help me make it warmer? I've been told it's easy to take down the drywall/plasterboard, install insulation, and put more drywall/plasterboard up again. But is it?

I am vacating my room--one bedroom in a multi-bedroom apartment. So that potential future occupants like what they see and want to sublet said room, I would like to fill the tack holes I left in the drywall. Plus, there are several long, very thin cracks that have formed on the walls over the past eight years. How do I give the room a cheap but passable make-up job? What materials will I need to pick up?
