	<title>Safely Storing Mp3 Files</title>
	<link>http://ask.metafilter.com/19718/Safely%2DStoring%2DMp3%2DFiles</link>
<description>I have over 20,000 mp3 (legal) files, which I want to be stored safely for decades to come, and I&apos;m looking for deviece suggestions. Basically I know that an external hard drive would be my best bet, probably a 300gb one, but which one is the best and has the least probablility of failing me. I want to give my collection to my children someday, and over a year ago i lost 10,000 when my hard drive died, and have since been paranoid as the collection keeps expanding.</description>
