I have a PCI-E SSD as my boot drive, and a win7-created RAID 1 on two 3TB drives. My boot drive has my user folder on it, but my documents, music, pictures, videos, etc folders shortcut to their respectable folders on the RAID. I would like this to be a full redundancy scheme and it is, but I've run into several nags and I would like to know how to fix them and prepare a fix-it plan before any of the drives fails. I'm looking for the best customer-facing remote backup solution that can back up from my network NAS drive. A lot of the customer-facing solutions like MozyHome don't support the NAS drive. Also I'm wondering...with 1 terabyte to back up, won't it take months to upload?

I have three 160 gig hard drives full of Apple Lossless music that I've ripped from my CDs. I want to keep these drives backed up, obviously. Is the most cost effective route to just buy a 500 gig (or ideally, one TB) drive for this purpose? Are there enclosures that hold multiple hard drives that would be appropriate (and cost effective) for this use? With the deals out there, it seems cheaper to buy more 160s than a 500 gig. I'm on a Mac G5.

I've taken the role as a graphic designer at a small company, and I also wear the IT hat sometimes. That being said, I'm more of a Mac Guru than (blech) XP. BUT, we have a small file server (40 GB, half full) of data we would like to backup nightly.
#1: What's a good tape drive (or other media) for that much data, with room to grow, of course.
#2: What software?
#3: What's a "typical" backup schedule. I'd prefer just to do incrementals, but how often to rotate tapes/etc...?
