Could anybody suggest titles of books that are collections of prose (fiction)/poetry and photographs/drawings? Books along the lines of, say, Eduardo Galeano's "The Book of Embraces" which has short compositions about various topics and simple, yet pleasing, drawings. Thanks!

Simplifying eps vector drawings. I'm looking for a way to eliminate overlapping paths in complex line drawings. Almost all of the lines are made up of multiple independent, straight paths sitting precisely on top of each other. To shrink the file size and make editing easier I'd like to get rid of this redundancy. Is converting to raster then back to vector the best solution? [more inside]

About a year ago, someone posted a wonderful link over in the blue that detailed a certain aspect in the design of paper currency, stock certificates, and the like... it had a specific name, but I can't recall what it is — so I can't google for the Mefi thread.
What do you call the geometric drawing comprised of very fine lines and lots of repetition — they look a lot like spiralgraph output — that adorns paper currency, stock certificates, and the like?

I'm looking for info on a print I recently bought at a yard sale. The print is of a surrealist ink drawing. The main subject of the drawing is the Palace Bathhouse in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It is signed as "Kahn '77". Does anyone have any idea who the artist is or has anyone seen this drawing before? It almost looks like an illustration from a book.
