Can you suggest a simple 2d drawing program for Mac OS X (Tiger)? I'd like something with the simplicity of MS Paint. I'm trying to draw some very simple line diagrams. If it's free (or cheap) that would be good. [more inside]

In Archie comics in the 80's (and maybe still today), there was an ad where you copied a sketch and mailed it in, and a company would tell you if you had what it takes to be a cartoonist. Or something like that. What was the company, and can you help me find the sketches or maybe an ad itself? [more inside]

I had one when I was a kid, and I want one again. What do you call the tablet/thingy where you write or draw on a piece of plastic which is atop a waxy piece of cardboard, and when you don't what you've drawn or written anymore, you can peel the plastic up and make the thing you wrote/drew disappear? It came with a plastic writing implement. Does anyone make a smallish version that I can use at my desk?

I'm new t Adobe Illustrator. Where the heck are all the built in vector shapes in Adobe Illustrator 10? Even PowerPoint has tons of premade shapes ready to go. Why do I only get a rectangle, oval, polygon, and some other freaky looking thing? Help?

Hi, I'm looking for some PDF software that lets you draw ontop of an existing PDF (like lines, text), and some other software that lets you merge multiple PDF files (there was a similar question a few days ago but that was for OSX). If I get to be choosy, I'd prefer cross platform libraries. Thanks! [more inside]
