Make FF 3.5 like 3.0

With Firefox 3 you could drag a tab from one FF window to the another with the tab bar closed. Is there any way to get 3.5 to do that? So with a bit more detail: On my system (vista) if I have say two FF 3.5 windows open and drag a tab from one to the other (with the tab bar closed), instead of opening in the second window a third, new window opens.

I've looked around and found a way to disable tab tearing/dragging completely, but that's not what I'm looking for. And I know 3.5 will work the way I want with the tab bar visible, but I'd like to avoid that if at all possible.

I'll take any kind of fix, be it an extension, registry edit, about:config tweak, whatever.

I want to look like Lady Gaga!

Help me look like a drag queen from outer space! I'm going as Lady Gaga for Halloween and need hair, makeup, and costume ideas. [first question filter: I've kept up with Ask Me for months and have a laundry list of questions I'd like to ask. I thought I'd start with a fun one.]

I'd love any creative ideas or resources. Some examples here, here, and here. I need head-to-toe advice (wigs, makeup tips, diy clothing, websites that sell weird dresses and accessories, whatever you feel like might help).

A couple ideas I've thought of so far have been feather eyelashes, the lightning-bolt eyeshadow (a la David Bowie), and this cool mask I found. I'm at a loss for any clothing ideas and have only found one wig that looks acceptable.

I need the hivemind's help to look out-of-this-world fabulous!

I was watching the Chumbawumba "Tubthumping" video, and while it's obvious that most of the women in the bathroom scenes are men in drag, I wasn't so sure about one: am I right in saying that the woman we see mouthing to "pissing the night away", "oh, Danny boy, Danny boy", and "don't cry for me, next door neighbor" is the lead singer in drag?

how to re-enable wmp11 combining artists/albums/etc?

I checked "Don't ask me again" when dragging one artist into another in WMP11 on vista in order to change all the names from one to another (to combine "the beatles" and "beatles" into one, in this case), expecting it to just do it without asking in the future, but now I've lost this functionality altogether. How can I re-enable it?

Drag and drop across browser windows?

Web dev Q: Is there a way to figure out what has been dragged and dropped from one browser window to another? Suppose I have 2 Firefox windows. Window 1 contains an HTML page with an image on it. If I drag+drop the image from window 1 to window 2, Firefox knows that it should open the image in window 2. If the image was linked to a webpage, then it instead opens the linked page in window 2.

I'd like to be able to do the "window 2" part in my own web app. The user could drag and drop any image from any website onto my web app's page. My web app would then figure out what has just been dropped (image URL or linked page URL) and act on it, without the event propagating to Firefox's default behavior.

Is this possible? I've looked online, and it looks like the only way to do it is to have a signed Java applet, as box.net does. Any other way you can think of, using Javascript, Flash, etc.? Would a Firefox extension perhaps be an answer? Thanks for your help.

Hot window breeze or cool car breeze?

What is more fuel efficient? Driving with your window(s) down, or with the air conditioner on? I'm curious about which is more economical. I guess this would have to be answered in three parts:

Freeway driving only

City driving only

Overall driving (mix city/freeway)

I know that using the air conditioner in a car uses more gasoline, but having a window, or multiple windows, down creates more drag on the car. So which option is more fuel efficient?

Please note: I'm also not concerned about air quality. I realize that using the a/c in traffic is better as most cars have air filters to filter the smog. My question is basically focused on fuel consumption.
Why can't I drag and drop in windows?

Can’t drag and drop in windows. (actual prob inside) I have some friends that I do tech support for. I was over at their house last night and they remarked that they couldn’t drag and drop. I took a look at the machine and sure enough, using explorer in any of its incarnations (My Computer or the Windows Explorer) they cannot drag and drop. If I try to drag a file from the desktop to the recycle bin or a desktop folder I get the windows icon of the circle with a slash through it telling me I can’t do that. If I try to drag from folder to folder inside the explorer, it just doesn’t do anything. They had GaoBot virus which I removed with the tool from Symantec’s website, but still no drag and drop. My Google-Fu has left me high and dry this AM. Any suggestions?
