I'm trying to set up a relatively easy to use eShop on my wordpress website. The tricky part is that my products are pretty complex. I have basically two things I offer: an app and a PDF, and each of those come in 28 possible variations. (They're language learning tools, so the particular app/PDF each person needs depends on which language they're learning and which language they speak natively). The OTHER tricky part is that the products aren't all ready yet, but due to the demand for pre-orders, I need to allow for preorders, as well, and then transition the products one-by-one to automatic downloads as I finish them. Any suggestions? I'm happy to pay for a solution, as long as it does its job well.

Now that SPOI's Youtube Options has gone subscription-only, what options are there for downloading Youtube videos in Chrome or Firefox? Userscripts.org seems to have finally bitten the dust, and the scripts it had were out of date.

My mom, dad and I use the Internet at home on separate PC's. We always manage to go over our download limit. Is there anything out there that can use to log downloads on a monthly basis from 3 different PC's so I have an idea who the culprit is as far as exceeding bandwidth goes?

I'm about to leave for a two-day long car trip and I thought I could listen to some podcasts to pass the time. I'm a huge Bullseye with Jesse Thorn (formerly Sound of Young America) fan and I saw a link on the Maximum Fun website
to download a torrent of all of the old episodes.
So I downloaded the .torrent file and opened it on uTorrent but nothing happened. Any help on my predicament? What am I doing wrong and what can I do to properly download the files?

Noob electronics. I want to connect the following units. A Panasonic (old tube type, but nice big screen) tv, DVD player, and my MacBook Pro. The tv has one input, the VCR many. Do I need a 'modulator'? But more important, is there a way to get my digital downloads to the TV?

I recently had to reset my mac, losing all the downloads, and I'm having trouble finding an itunes program I had once downloaded and now realize I came to rely on heavily. Here's what it did:
1) Displayed artwork and song/artist/year in a floating window in the lower left corner
2) Had hot keys to control itunes from any program - apple-f10 made the floater appear; apple-f11 track backwards; apple-f12 track forward; apple-f13 play/pause
I keep walking up to my computer and hitting apple-f10 and nothing happens. Help! Thanks.

What are some music blogs that post relatively obscure *full* albums (old and new)? Indie, soul, electronica, rock, disco - any and all genres welcome.
No reviews please. I just want blogs that say "Hey, this album is awesome and/or weird. Here is a little bit about it. Now here is a link where you can download it."

When I click download links (to .zip, .dmg, etc...) in Safari on my Mac running Snow Leopard, it does nothing. Or more specifically, it says "Loading" in the URL bar for a second as if it were about to load a webpage, and then does nothing. I have to right click and select "Download Linked File." How can I fix this behavior? [more inside]

I am looking for recent survey results or other data points on consumer resistance to, or acceptance of, downloading browser add-ons and other downloaded apps. In other words, to what extent is the download step itself a barrier to consumers acquiring add-ons and apps, because of perceived risks like viruses and privacy issues. Extra points for data that sorts this out across age and other demographic groups.

What are some cool downloads/applications for Blackberry Storm? I would prefer that they are free, but if they cost a little thats ok too. I don't have very many app's on my Blackberry yet and would like to get some good ones. I guess I would like to get good app's that provide music streaming, connections to resourceful news contacts like NPR, maybe some games, maybe some cool art, etc... Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Thanks!

I downloaded a .scr file that was probably a virus. I was at least smart enough to trash the file instead of opening it, but is it likely that my computer is infected, anyway; that the file is executed merely by downloading it? (NOTE: This happened on a Macbook Pro.) [more inside]

Anyone point me towards some music that I can download and use to accompany the photographs that I'll be taking at my son's school sports day? I intend selling copies of the disc for a few pounds each to raise some money for school funds, so either copyright free or some sort of UK waiver would be essential. The music should be upbeat and appropriate for a sporting theme.
