Near where I live in Boston, there is a dangerous road, and a particularly dangerous intersection. I'd like to take action to have someone take steps to remediate it. Can you recommend specific resources and data to use to make the most compelling call to action? [more inside]

Any suggestions for good Dot Net development tools? I'm interested in suggestions for a wide range of tool types, for example (but not limited to) unit testing, code coverage, style enforcement, bug finders, profiling, code/API documentation generation, installer/distributable packagers, continuous integration, build systems, report generators, static code analysis, decompilers, IDE enhancements, etc., etc. [more inside]

Drug-testing filter: A friend of mine is working for a non-profit domestic (USA) organization and was asked to get a DOT health/medical card to drive a truck/trailer combination in excess of 10,000 lbs, carrying heavy equipment. Will a drug test be required?

In the not-so-distant future I might have to take a DOT/FAA drug test to become a flight attendant. I'm taking Wellbutrin prescribed by a psychiatrist. Help? [more inside]

Please tell me everything I need to know about the GMail dot feature (placing - or not placing - a dot in the username of a gmail email address). I don't understand it, how to use it, what it does and how to take advantage of it. As an email receiver and sender. Also, what problems are created with this? Is there a way I can use it to categorize email, both received and sent? [more inside]

Looking for people who have registered a car in PA. I've seen a bunch of different information and there are a lot of quirky requirements, so I'm asking for assistance. Do I have to change over the title and registration to PA from another state, or just the registration? Tracing paper? Really? Am I able to do this directly with the DOT or do I have to use an agent who tacks on additional fees? How does all this work for registering my car in PA from out of state? I know I need insurance, then I register it, then I need to get a bunch of tests done, but if someone knows the entire process because they've done it recently, I'd love to hear from you and get any tips or tricks. I am not looking for just links to the PennDOT website.

Why is it that the genetic "distance" between two populations would be determined by the angle between their position vectors rather than the magnitude of their respective displacements? [more inside]

When I was a kid, I found a bizarre pen at my grandmother's house. It was a marker with a roller on the tip and it created a dot pattern similar to zip-a-tone when you wrote with it. The ink was a dull purple, like Spider-Man's webbing in a comic book. She called it a "fax highlighter," but I've never been able to find such a thing in office supply stores or on the internet. It sure would be cool to have one for shading and creating a unique look in quick sketches. Help?

I can't figure out a way to browse Amazon via Listmania lists. Is there any way to do this? They show up on nearly every book page I visit, but I'd like to browse through them by user and topic.
