A few years ago, I saw a TV-documentary about a man who was burning down luxury homes somewhere in the American west. The arsonist's best friend (brother?) was instrumental in capturing him. It was on 20/20 or Primetime or some similar show. I was riveted by the story, have never forgotten it, and I'd love to see it again. Which show was it on? Is it available on DVD? Transcript? Based on a book?

Dogs in Space was an Australian film released in 1987 starring Michael Hutchence of INXS before they cracked the states. It's about a band living in a share-house in Melbourne in 1979. The lifestyle, the personalities, can still be found today, 26 years on. What other movies, despite their fictions, serve as documentaries of lifestyles that will probably remain unrecorded?

Any suggestions for animation dvds with good extras? Specifically, I'm interested in finding animated movies on dvd that include pencil tests and/or footage of the voice actors. The more extensive the better.

First, help me ID this one from my friend's description:
it's this one done by this old man up in the northwest somewhere. he built his own cabin and lived there for something like 50 years by himself--completely by himself. All the camera work is done soley by him. the man is amazing. he does everything on his own. it's the most relaxing thing i ever watched
Next, recommend your favorite interesting and well-made documentaries.
I'll start with Joseph Campbell's The Power of Myth and the PBS Evolution series.

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about Jonathan "Keith" Idema. The guy who was sentenced to 10 years in Afghanistan for running a prison and anti-terror group supposedly outside of US and Afghan control. I've read the BBC stuff that's out there. Does anyone have any other information about this guy? I heard he went to jail for fraud in the US. Also, he had a documentary filmmaker named Ed Carballlo with him. I'm interested in learning more about him as well... Anyone?

When I lived in LA, there was a wacky local cable channel that played all sorts of crazy stuff they shouldn't have. I saw the entire Tommy Lee/Pamela Anderson tape, unedited, while channel surfing one night. But my question is about another odd thing on this channel. Once I was surfing and saw Jenna Jameson on this channel, but it wasn't porn. There was little to no nudity, and what I most remember is a scene where she's eating taco bell and talking about how screwed up her life is, while a bodyguard sits on the other side of the room. Most of the scenes were interviews with her as she traveled from place to place with a bodyguard. Does anyone know what this documentary was called?
