HELP! I am (was) using my ipod instead of a DJ for my wedding that is in 10 days and it just CRASHED! It synched to my computer without warning and now all my wedding playlists are GONE! I'm a dope and only very recently started using an external hard drive...long story short I need help to rebuild my wedding playlists. Instead of getting a DJ for our wedding, I'm thinking of hiring an iTunes operator -- someone with some knowledge of music and iTunes who can fire up pre-created playlists at the right time, adjust sound levels, troubleshoot problems etc. Has anyone tried this? Any tips? (And does anyone know anyone in the Wilmington NC area who might be interested in such a gig?)

I'm getting married near Bowie, MD and I'm in search of a decent DJ but I'm not entirely sure the criteria I should use to evaluate them outside of testimonials and calling up references. My question is: 1) how do you evaluate the various DJs and 2) does anyone have a DJ they strongly recommend? Thanks!

After my wedding a few weeks ago, I found out that my DJ had eaten a full 3-course meal, instead of the much cheaper vendor meal he was supposed to have (he also took the vendor meal). I stopped payment on his check, and sent another for the amount less the cost of the vendor meal and the $50 gratuity I had given him. They're now sending my original check to collections. So the wedding planning is in full gear and we are having trouble finding the right entertainment.. Her parents want a band, we want a dj, so we've decided on getting a DJ/MC with a Jazz trio.. Problem is, we've visited a few, but cannot settle on one because none have been perfect. Anyone have any recommendations? Wedding is in Springfield, NJ, next early spring.
