Can a screw in Polyfilla Plug It ever be removed?

As suggested in this AskMe, I'm going to use Polyfilla Plug It to screw curtain railings into a concrete ceiling. (I'll be following these directions.)But once I screw the screw into the Polyfilla -- will I be able to unscrew it in the future if I want to take down the curtains? Or will the screw be permanently fixed in place? [more inside]

What's Wrong With My 10-Year-Old Speakers?

About 10 years ago, I bought a pair of Bose 301 Series 2 speakers. They've now been through a number of moves and they're sounding not-as-good. I'm not sure how to define the difference--they sound muddier, and less three-dimensional. I pulled off the front grill and didn't see any visible damage. How can I determine the cause, and then repair it? [more inside]

Affordable DIY Window Insulation

The windows in my flat do a lousy job of keeping heat in and cold out. Is there a way to improve the insulating properties of window glass without installing double glazing? Ideally it would be something I could install myself (and if necessary remove when I move out of my rented flat.) Googling turned up various window films, both do-it-yourself and have-somebody-do-it-for-you. Any experience with these or similar products? Any other suggestions?
