I've got these wiring clips for a utility trailer that are supposed to hold the brake light wiring against the frame.

My son, who is 10, has been asking me all kinds of questions about creating mods for existing games and writing his own games. I am not a programmer, but I did show him kid's programming language and we're trying to figure it out.
Any recommendations for either simple, fun game creation languages or packages that will run on our aging pIII windows machine? There's a lot out there, and I just don't know where to start. [more inside]

How can I photoshop my kid's thin pencil drawings so that they look like they were drawn with a sharpie or thicker pen? I want to stick them on shirts at some point. Some of them are just funny and bizarre.

We decided to replace an ugly old chandelier today. After turning off the breaker and taking off the chandelier, I noticed there are black, red, white and green wires. The house is circa 1968. From what I can tell there used to be a fan/light. So I hooked up our flourescent dome by matching the wire colors and capping the red wire. Unfortunately, it didn't work. [more inside]

We are going to install about 200 sq. ft. of laminate flooring in our kitchen/dining area, which is 1/2 linoleum and 1/2 ugly blue carpet.
Because the previous owners installed 1/4" subflooring before they put in the original vinyl, there is a height difference between the carpeted area and the vinyl floor area. Should I rip out the old subflooring to level it out, or add subflooring to the recessed area so everything is level?
There is *really* old linoleum underneath the carpet and the subflooring. [more inside]

My wife changed the filter on our gas furnace yesterday, and now it doesn't work. I pulled off the front cover and on the upper right is a small black pressure switch of sorts. I originally thought it was supposed to be held shut by the cover, but that is not the case, as they don't match up.

Does anyone know how to put more memory in an HP Laserjet 4700? There is an access panel on the rear right-hand side, and four screws holding in two slot covers labeled EIO, I believe.
I downloaded the service manuals but nothing in there I could use. I can pay someone to do a service call but it seems like it should be something I could do myself.
