I remember once seeing a diagram of the human body where all of the parts are sized based on the amount of nerves in them (it was distorted, like maps that enlarge or shrink areas so that they're representational of population size rather than area). The lips and hands were both really big. My google-fu is failing me-- does anyone know where I could find it?

Searching for the name of an old guitar distortion/overdrive pedal.
Attributes:
* orange
* old
* distortion or overdrive
* had a feature that allowed holding for "sustain"
* used by my old hippy guitar teacher in 1992
* I was told it was difficult to find in 1992
I liked this pedal because I could hold my foot on the pedal and it would feedback. You would press once to turn it on, hold to get sustain, press to turn off. Not sure if it was custom or what.
I was too young at the time to note the brand.

Live Concert footage recorded w/Casio exilim 7.2 meg. Audio is on a scale(1-10) 7-8 distorted. I can extract from source. I have roxio 8 and demo of sony-vegas. Is it possible to reduce distortion at least enough to be decent. 3-4 (or better ) on the same scale? Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. Will trade for said footage. The band is Mutemath, and Vedera.

After moving apartments, my Sony CRT HDTV has some color distortion along the right side of the screen. I'm guessing the TV took a bad bump somewhere along the way. Anyone else have this problem and found a solution?

I often walk past artists painting/airbrushing photorealistic billboards on the sides of buildings. Talent aside, how do they do this? I would imagine that an original image would be projected onto the building, and then traced, but how do they avoid image distortion if the environment doesn't allow for a perfect straight-on projection? Do they project an already-distorted original onto the wall?

My bathroom has mirrored walls instead of tiles. When I look at myself in one wall/mirror, I seem slightly shorter and wider than I seem in the other mirror, creating the illusion of a 5 lb difference in my appearance. Is there a way to figure out which mirror (if either) is accurate?

Word to PDF Distortion Filter
I'm distilling a bunch of Word Files which contain tables, over which I am superimposing "semi-transparent" light gray text boxes. When these pages are distilled, the resulting .PDF displays the gray text boxes as "varigated," i.e., having bands of light and dark gray.
Does any kind stranger know if there is some setting I can adjust to make this go away? Thanks!

I have a Stanton Str8-20 Turntable coupled with a Yamaha CR-640 (1980 vintage) Amplifier. Playing orchestrated music, the loudest sounds of the vinyl will distort. I had to 'tune' the turntable before using it, and this was my first time. I googled but nothing helped. Can anyone give me advice regarding the distortion, which is probably relevant to the fine tuning of the turntable?
