We're visiting Mickey Mouse down in Orland December 15-21. We've been spending weeks now working out our reservations and special events tickets, but we still have some extra time left over. Thinking about taking the youngins to Disney World in June. Daughter will be 11 and it will be her second trip. Son will be 4 1/2 - first time for him. Last time, we stayed at a Disney property: rode the shuttle buses, swam in the myriad pools, drank $2 cokes, etc. This time, cash flow is more of an issue so I'm looking at Kissimmee hotels. Just wondering, though, if the low price is worth losing the on-site amenities and convenience. Been there? Done that?
