A friend and I take a trip once a year together. Usually it's been something like a national park, but last year we said "screw it, let's go to Disney World" - and had so much fun; not so much because "Disney" but because of the challenges of high-speed navigating a complex ecosystem of timing and logistics and transportation and reservations. What can we do next year that would scratch the same kind of itch? Anywhere in the world is fine. [more inside]
We are visiting family in Orlando next week and would like to go to the Magic Kingdom and maybe Epcot. I have been to the MK at least a dozen times and used to know it like the back of my hand - I was a zen master of showing up early, grabbing fast passes on a need-to-ride basis, and basically winging it so we never felt rushed. This will be my first trip since they initiated the new FastPass+ system, and the more I read about how it works, the more discombobulated I get. [more inside]
I'd like to find more kid's shows or movies that are very, very, very placid and calming. The best exemplars I've found so far are Winnie The Pooh (original movie and 2011 follow up - not the ones in between) and Fantasia 2000. I'm looking for other kid's media that has little conflict and might put my kids to sleep without boring them so much that they demand I change it to something else. [more inside]
2 adults, 3 girl kids (2,4,6) want to venture to Disneyland for Christmas, because: 1. Frozen 2. No family nearby to spend the holidays with 3. One kid turns 6 on Christmas eve 4. Frozen Please help me plan the perfect trip on a budget. [more inside]
I'm super bad at planning travel stuff and I'm trying to take a vacation with my girlfriend at the end of December. We'd like to do 3 nights at a quiet-ish beach within reasonable driving distance of Disney World and Universal Studios (because Harry Potter) in Orlando, and 4 nights doing both of those theme parks. First time Disney planner here, and I don't know anything about Florida beaches really. [more inside]

I've been digging for about a week and I can't find audio examples of a japanese-speaker singing Disney songs phonetically in English. I know it's a thing, because I think I remember being shown this sort of thing vis-a-vis The Circle of Life a few years back by someone who was bilingual, and I got the impression from the number of videos then that this was a common practice among Japanese (and maybe other Asian countries?) kids to do. Can someone find me a link? Or give me better search terms? [more inside]

CD Ripping - how to break tracks into smaller chunks? itunes or MediaMonkey. I recently got a copy of Stay Awake, a CD of new artists doing covers of old Disney songs, and I want to rip it to my computer. Several tracks are medleys - 3 or 4 songs running into each other as a single track. I know I can rip these individually, and then use a cutting program to make an individual copy of the songs, but is there an easier/automated way? [more inside]
