OS X: I want to batch print all the files in a source-code library. They are actionscript files, which means they are text files that all end in a .as extension. The files are in a complex directory structure (one root folder but files in multiple subfolders), and there are non .as files that I don't want printed. When the files print, I need some kind of separator ( spaces, asterisks, new page...) between each file. [more inside]

I've been helping my friend setup his personal website and we have been muddling through with plenty of help from google and a little bit of luck.
But recently, I've been stumped by a persistent problem with a directory containing some files. Here's the scenario - my friend shares his RSS reading list as an OPML file. In addition, he wants to try and show how his reading list has evolved by archiving older versions of his reading list in a folder. He also wants to allow other people to browse this archive folder.
It seemed like we should be able to achieve this using .htaccess files, but unfortunately it's not working like we expected. [more inside]

A few weeks/months ago, someone posted to reddit/del.icio.us/mefi/etc a link to a directory of US psychologists/psychiatrists that had photos of each provider. Naturally, I can't find it anymore. Does any one remember where this is?

Is there a freeware windows application that will allow me to print the directory structure of a drive or section of a drive on my network? I have a drive at work that needs to be reorganized and it would help me if I could see directories and sub directories listed in order and in print.

I need a search tool replacement for the built-in windows XP search, or suggestions for it. I have a lot of files on different drives in different directories (C:\AA F:\BB ...) and I when I want to find a specific file that I know is in one of those directories, I have to select and search each directory one at a time. (searching all folders on all drives would take too long.) Anyway to make this quicker?

Is there any way to write to a directory via a script without giving both the directory and the script 777 perms? More specifically the script is writing to a different directory than it is in and I cannot write to that directory without giving it 777 perms. This is a Linux server using Apache web server.

What I am looking for is a directory 'diff' tool. I have two identical directories, fairly deeply nested, with lots of files. I want to modify some files in one of the directories, run the 'diff' tool against the two directories, and have it return a list of files have been modified. I am familiar with grep and diff, however I am unsure as to how to format this exact request. [mi] [more inside]

Does anyone know a good open source tool for creating web directories? Something similar to the Open Directory Project. Google is turning up results that mostly have to do with pulling data from that site, what I want is something that will allow me to build my own from scratch.
