Looking for some critical, reasonably independent discussion of some of the paleo diet claims--does such a thing actually exist? Specifically with regards to cardio exercise and saturated fats/cholesterol.

How many eggs can I eat? I'm a vegetarian on the South Beach diet. I'm healthy and have never had issues with cholesterol. What I'm wondering is, how many eggs is a reasonable number to eat? I've been doing at least one a day, often two. Is that too many? Does the vegetarianism mitigate it?
I really love eggs. But I do want my blood to continue to be able to fit through my veins...help me!

Is it possible for your cholesterol levels to be transiently elevated, and if not, what should I do about mine?

I have chosen as one of my New Year's Resolutions to cut out fried food in an effort to reduce my fat and cholesterol intake. Yeah, that's great and all, but the question is, how do I supplant that need? I'm going to have some severe heroin-like withdrawal problems.
