My mom is a graphic designer and uses Quark. She just switched from a PowerPC based Macbook Pro to an Intel based MacBook Pro. Freelance magazine layout costing in the UK: A publication company is looking to outsource the layout for a journal, 64 pages, full colour, using existing layout, not from new. It is possible but not probable that I will have existing layouts to work from electronically. I has been told this publication is produced monthly, takes the existing designer a week and a half, and am being offered a flat fee for doing the job for each issue. How much would one expect to be paid for that sort of job, if of average/medium weight experience?

Help! A potential client asked me to make a moodboard for their new product (a range of healthy snacks). They asked a few other designers to do this as well and based on these boards they are going to decide which designer will do their logo etc. Problem is that even though I'm an experienced graphic designer I have never done a moodboard! I need logo and font help. The name of my vintage motorcycle restoration business is MotoKrow. My last name means "crow" in Dutch, and begins with a K. I like vintage motorcycle logos, but don't want to copy. I'm very fond of the old Moto Guzzi logo. Anyone know what that font is? A simple logo like the Matchless one is nice.
