Can you offer any recommendations for CBT-centered therapists in and around the Pittsburgh area, ideally east end? I'm looking for a CBT psychologist to provide therapy in conjunction with meds.

Asking for a friend--
Can anyone recommend a therapist for anxiety/depression in Riverdale, Inwood, or nearby Westchester? No particular approach preferred, although approaches like CBT that have some literature supporting their efficacy would be better.

This newspaper article is about me. Basically, I have I PTSD and struggle with depression. I am looking for a good therapist in Richmond, Virginia. I've tried a number of them, but have never found a good match. It occurs to me that someone here might know someone, so I thought I'd ask. I found
one recommendation from 2009, but would like to find more. Thanks in advance...

I've come to the conclusion that some therapy/counselling would help me a lot, but as a life-long introvert I find the idea very intimidating and nerve-wracking. Looking for tips and encouragement on starting therapy, and recommendations for a good, preferably female and affordable, therapist in Vancouver BC.

I don't have health insurance right now, but I do get an allowance through work to go toward a private, individual plan. I haven't purchased a plan quite yet, and I'm wondering if seeing a therapist now might cause problems for me later. I also don't understand how pre-existing conditions are defined when it comes to mental health issues. (I live in Washington state.)

Austin Therapist Recommendations: A friend is looking for a therapist to work through some issues. He wants someone who is active in conversation and is willing to confront him on things when necessary. He's had therapists in the past who were nice but too passive, and just listened more than they offered ideas and suggestions. The ideal therapist would listen without judging but would help stimulate new ideas and change in his life. Do you know of anyone like this?

what should i take to a psychiatrist? i'm 33, have recently separated from work, never had a relationship and am seeing him for depression. i've had four sessions, and he's asking me to bring in things so he gets a better idea of who i am. i didn't think to ask what (i will) but i figure creative things eg: my folio with paintings/drawings/artwork is a start. what would you recommend?
