When I import my 700 bookmarks into http://del.icio.us
they are automatically set to "not shared." I understand this is to prevent spam, and I have been unable to find an alternative to manually setting each link to "share."
Is there a solution I have overlooked? Or, is there a cooler/niftier alternative to del.icio.us that I should be using instead? Thank you.

I am a del.icio.us power use
, and I am trying to use the new Firefox 2.0 which integrates with del.icio.us. I'm having some trouble. First, all of the bookmarks I had stored locally that were in folders seem to have disappeared. Where did they go? Second, because I have soooo many bookmarks on del.icio.us, I have the "Bookmaek synching in progress" bar loading constantly, and it REALLY slows down my Firefox speed.
Can anyone help me find my missing bookmarks? Does anyone have tips on how to use Firefox 2.0 with bookmarks without the molasses speed?

I would like to build and host a del.icio.us clone on my Mac (Intel iMac running Tiger). It need not be accessible outside of my machine, although if you can advise me how to do that while still keeping my machine secure, that would be a very nice plus. I am able to build simple command-line apps in Unix and puzzle some stuff out, but I am very much not a l33t hax00r. Can anyone walk me through the process very simple step by very simple step? I'm looking for a web-based to-do application with a few very specific features, but, essentially, one that's almost a del.icio.us clone and is very much centralized not on categories, but on tags. [more inside]

Is it possible, without custom scripting, to take the contents of a blogger blog and import the links into del.icio.us and auto-tag them?
is a bookmarklet that has auto-tagging, but I'd rather not individually click through five years of posts on multiple blogs to do this. [more inside]

I can't get del.icio.us to work for me! The 'pop-up' and 'post' buttons in my tool bar open with IE and I think this is causing problems. Is there a way to get them to open with Mozilla instead of IE?
No problems happen if I click the post method from my saved (mozilla) bookmarks, that works perfectly, but if possible I'd like to be able to click on my toolbar..
I can't find any help for del.icio.us, at least not for this problem, not even with a google search. I'm hoping someone here will know what to do. I'd really like to use del.icio.us Thanks! [more inside]

I use del.icio.us
a LOT. I have over 500 links. I want to do some editing of all of my links. There are several links I'd like to delete, and it seems the only way I can do that is to open each one individuall, which is incredibly time consuming. Oftentimes, I want to add the same tag to several links in a certain category. In general, there are just several occasions where it would be very helpful to have some way to edit many links at once. Does anyone know of any utilies that make this easier (software, extensions, online sites that speed up the process, etc.)?

I'm trying to make the switch from IE to Firefox but I'm needing a couple of extensions before I can dump IE. I use IE Spell
to spell check web forms and right-click post to del.icio.us
to bookmark pages in del.icio.us
. Does anyone know of any similar extensions for Firefox? Thanks in advance!

Are there any alternatives to del.icio.us that A) allow private bookmarks and proper categorization, B) have simple (I'm thinking along the lines of FoxyLicious
for Firefox) and complete browser integration and C) are reasonably fast.(Gmail-type would be nice, I could tolerate slightly slower)
I have checked Furl, but I get the feeling it's not quite what I want. Hyperlinkomatic seems to be close, but the couple of times I have hit the site it hasn't been teriffically fast, and for my bookmarks that's not really acceptable. Moreover, I haven't seen anything like the above-mentioned FoxyLicious for it. [more inside]

Is there a way to sort del.icio.us links by order of overall popularity? For example, I know if I go to del.icio.us/popular/css/
it will show me recently popular links with the css tag, but what I'd really like is to sort all the css links
in descending order of number of people linking to the link. Is this possible? I googled with variations of "sort|order popular del.icio.us links" but did not come up with anything remotely like what I was going for.
