In a nutshell: I'm almost 38 years old, happily married, and am currently raising 3 kids (the youngest is 9). I work full-time at a job that I love – and that loves me back - but which doesn't pay
particularly well. My husband's income compensates for that. We are decidedly middle class with some debts, low savings, and a mortgage. I have a (Canadian) college diploma in social services that's a little over 2 years old at this point. I am trying to decide whether to further my education - and whether to do it now or later.

I'm looking for a fully online MA program in TESOL or a related field like Applied Linguistics, that is NOT meant for K-12 public school teaching, with the aim of professionalizing myself as an English tutor. I found the New School's program
here, that would certainly cover all my bases, but I simply wouldn't be able to afford the cost. Can you help me find other options?

Considering doing a Psychology Degree. How many legit Universities offer the option to do classes both online OR in-class and if so, where can I find them? The reason I ask is because of the restrictions of my F/T job.

My signifigant other is on permanent disability. I just started college as a full-time student myself. I am going to jr college. Paid for tuition and books via Pell Grant, and using the remainder of loans plus s.o.'s disability payments to cover living expenses-- as you can imagine it's tight but we're making do so far. Significant other wants to get a BS in photography. Is Art institute of Pittsburgh right place?

My boyfriend is hoping to find a really nice online programming study that results in a Bachelor's degree - his goal is to work on games, but we figure that non-game-based online schools could be just as helpful, and cost-effective. (Learn normal programming, and then just adjust courseload later on to take a couple of game programming classes and take a lot of C++ and usual game languages.) Does anyone have recommendations for such online study programs?

Distant Education Recommendations? (esp ones that offer IT BA Programs)
I'm looking for any distance education that has teachers, councilors and staff that CARE. A program new or old that is high tech and streaming video feed of lectures would be nice. If you received some distance education that is worth mentioning and you've enjoyed it or even better you've done 2 different schools online. PLEASE LET ME KNOW! Thanks.

Are there any reputable online degrees? I'm mostly interested in doing an online degree in web design or marketing/advertising. I already have traditional B.A. and M.A. degrees in a different field (international affairs and economics).

What's a good
cheap way to get a degree online? I've seen a lot of ads for doing so, but upon investigation they are extremely expensive. I'm not overly concerned about having a degree from a well-respected college, but I'd like to have a degree.

Have any of you good folks taken a significant number of online courses or perhaps earned an online degree? I'm looking for an online-only Master's of Education program. And I'd like it to be quick and cheap. Any recommendations, warnings, or otherwise valuable insights?
