I'm a big fan of the Ericsson interface, though my current phone (T637) is on its last legs. Sony has come out with a ton of great phones recently, all vast improvements on what I have, and almost none of which I afford. A few years ago, major wireless carriers could be counted on to heavily discount the newest latest freshest phones, especially Ericssons, and now only ONE carrier (Cingular) sells ANY of them, and they only have the two bottom-of-the-line models. Anyone have any advice or inside information before I bite the bullet and get the cheapo model? [more inside]

Over the next few months, I need to buy a lot of new clothes to bulk up my professional (woman's) wardrobe. I want everything I buy to fit well. Slacks, skirts, blazers need to be lined. I will not buy anything without trying it on first, so web and catalog shopping is out. I don't have the budget to buy this all at full price. What kinds of strategies can I employ to get the best deals possible? Are there specific stores I should be shopping in? Are there sales I should watch for? Are there specific dates, weekends or times of year when I can get the best deals? How can I find out about and obtain about great coupons and upcoming sales? [more inside]

What are the best sites on the Internet that guide you to finding the best prices on a wide range of consumer items? I want to do comparison shopping, by locating the biggest selection from reputable stores (sites), compare product features, prices, possibly read reviews, but that's not a must, to get the best deals, period. In the past, I’ve used: BizRate, PriceGrabber, Shopping.com, and Froogle (Google). I know there must be more, or better sites out there, so what are they and let me know your experiences – pro & con.

Ok, I'm terribly curious...I've seen the Matthew Lesko infomercials for years. Some of you have got to have picked them up. Are they worthwhile. It's not the cost, its the time investment that I'm talking about.

My grandmother wants me to find deals on high-end cosmetics for her. We've had luck on eBay before, but her latest particular request is coming up short for me. This question is two-part: 1) Where else can I look online/IRL for good prices on department store makeup? Google searches so far only point me to useless spam/ad sites or cheap chintzy makeup, and I can't think of anywhere to look IRL except outlet malls. 2) Cosmetics are hot business on eBay - I had no idea. How do you think these sellers get their stock? Are they employees with the privilege of ordering it wholesale through the store, perhaps? A lot of what's sold seems to be testers - is it possible to score some kind of deal at the counter for leftovers, if you're not an employee?
