DCfilter/Therapyfilter: I'm looking for a therapist in the Washington, DC area that takes United Healthcare. I also need some general advice on starting therapy-- I haven't done it in several years and my previous experience with it wasn't great. I'm being treated with medications for depression.

If you buy your ticket ahead of time for
a tour of the Washington Monument (in Washington, DC), how early should you show up in order to pick up your ticket at Will Call and make it to the tour on time? Is 30 minutes sufficent? 1 hour? This is for next week, so it is (obviously) not peak season. Thanks.

Where can I find a red power tie, preferably for cheap, in or near union station in DC today? My train arrives at noon, and I hope to have a tie in hand by 12:15. (I'm also looking for a white dress shirt, but that's less crucial.)

I live in Washington, DC, and I'd like to get together with people and talk about interesting ideas, preferably somewhere where networking bullshit is kept to a bare minimum. I don't care what they do for a living or what big ideas they're fluent in, just want them to be interesting. Does this thing exist and, if not, how do I create it?

I am looking for a place to stay in or near Washington DC - I need to move in by November 1. I have found a place which I could stay for a few months (month-to-month rent) but until I could find something that more closely fits my preferences. Should I go with this place now before it is gone, or should I try to find a place I would be comfortable with long-term within the next week and a half?

I am looking for advice about those two in particular but welcome suggestions for any tattoo that would be hidden in an elementary school classroom.

I am moving to DC in a month. I want to live somewhere a short metro ride away from Union Station (I will work near there). Second, I want to be in a place where I can meet nearby single people around my age. (I am a 26 year old male.) I am not a partier, I don't drink much, and I'm not big into night life. I prefer board games, soccer, museums, exploring etc. What do you think would be the best area for me?

Can you suggest a mover for a (very) small amount of stuff? I have to move to a new apartment in the next 2 weeks, but I have very little stuff : one bedroom's worth of furniture, a sofa, and a folding table with some chairs. I only have 2 boxes of books. I called some moving companies, but the smallest load they will take is still way more than I have. I live in the Maryland suburbs of DC. Thanks.
