I have two of these
Seagate 1TB external hard drives. Both formatted the same way: Mac OS Extended, GUID partition table. One has 400GB stored on it. When I drag and drop from one external hard drive to the other, after a while (anywhere around 8GB and up) I get an error 36 message - says I cannot read/write file. The lady on the phone for Seagate support says it's because you can't drag and drop large amounts of data via USB: in other words, it's not the drive's fault. Really? [more inside]

I'm the 'lone programmer' for a small business, making an app that will log when inventory is received, and also used, at a remote location, via serialized barcodes. What would be the best way to transfer this usage data to me, preferably daily? [more inside]

I have a mountain of data to move from dozens of Excel spreadsheets into an Access database. The database is an existing one and sort-of documented. How do I go about doing this? I’m very comfortable with Excel, but not at all with Access---I’ve never used it before. How do I push Excel data into Access records? Are there any web resources I could use? Any books I should buy?

Google-fu has failed me. I remember seeing a link on AskMe to a site that allows free transfers of up to 50mb of data that someone else can download with a password. Now I can't find it in the archives or through Google. Help.
