Has anyone ever managed to use iTunes and COM to access the iTunes database and modify MP3 meta-data tags? I need to change the genre for every track by a certain artist and since I have a list of over 800 artists, it is not something I can do by hand. [more inside]

I'd like to run a FreeDB server on my Windows box at home so I don't have to stay connected to the internet to get the track listings for the CD's I want to upload into iTunes. However, although I can find a zillion FreeDB aware clients, I'm having difficulty finding a native Windows version of the server. Does such a thing exist? [more inside]

UI design question -- I have a Windows application, basically a frontend to a database, whose interface has mututated over the years, through various "enhancements," to the point that it's almost unusable by the non-technical people for whom it exists. Anyone have any recommendations of firms that do UI makeovers? What could I get for around $5,000?

Say I have a database DATA.MDB
Inside DATA.MDB there is a table called ImageTable.
In this table is a field named fimageOriginalFilePath. There are aprox 4000 entries.
Each entry holds an absolute path to a directory on the C drive. For example C:\pictures\10131009
I want to automatically replace the first character of each entry with the letter F. So that each path points to the F drive.
Can it be done? Can it be done without MS Access? Can it be done by a person with no programing skills, knowledge of databases, or understanding of SQL queries and the like? If so, how? Thank you all.
