My 8 week old baby is starting to develop a swollen lower right eye-lid. It is starting to look like a black eye. The opthamologist thinks it is a developmental cyst, and told us just to keep an eye on it. Today, it is starting to cause her eye to close slightly. My wife is in tears. Anyone have an opinion on what is going on here, what the options are for a 2 month old, and also, what will make us not freak out.

Thursday I went to the ER with sudden sharp pains, which turned out to be a large ovarian cyst. The Dr said I might need emergency surgery to remove it. After getting some tests back he wants to "wait and see" about a month before approving their removal. I'm still in a lot of pain and want to try convince him to please just take them out... but not sure how I can talk him into it. [more inside]

In the last two weeks, a weird nodule has formed on the bottom of my tongue. I think it's a ranula, but I'm not a doctor and can't say that for certain. I don't have health insurance, but I gotta get rid of this thing before it gets massive and more painful. What kind of doctor do I see to get this removed?
