CSS and HTML text editor

Web development filter: CSS / HTML text editor? I'm making a series of VERY basic websites: around 5 pages each of static pages. I've handcoded with CSS and HTML so far (I'm a complete NOOB here, though.) I'm constantly fiddling with elements which are common to each page, and then therefore have to copy and paste across all the pages. Seems like there has to be a better way... [more inside]

Can't select text... why...

I have a css/html question. Usually when I have a css question I google it and find that 100 people have already asked and answered it. In this case I'm having a hard time even figuring out what to put into Google or what to search on here in AskMe. Is there any reason why, on a webpage I coded up, the text cannot be selected and the links can't be clicked on or hovered over? I have never seen anything like this before. [more inside]

CSSFilter: Webkit won't keep my elements in their fixed width container.

CSSFilter: I am building a wordpress site that uses a basic two column layout with floating div elements inside a fixed-width div . Any clues why Safari and Chrome appear to be ignoring the fixed-width container div allowing the interior elements to float away to the edges of the browser? Explorer and Firefox aren't doing this. IE scrollbars shifting placement of centered background image!

CSS Positioning and IE6 is making me cry

CSS Positioning and IE6 is making me cry - Working on a freelance project as a favor for my sister-in-law, and I'm having an issue with the display in IE6. (Looks great in IE7 and Firefox) As you can see, the main content on the right is appearing below the menu on the left, instead of alongside it. Any ideas? [more inside]

Reset the CSS on these scrollbars!

A framework I'm using styles scrollbars in an ugly way. Other CSS elements have a setting of "None" to effectively reset the style to the browser's default. Scrollbar styling doesn't have a "None" so once the style is applied by the framework there's no going back. How can I reset the scrollbar CSS to defer styling back to the browser? [more inside]
