Why won't firefox display pages correctly?

What is wrong with my firefox? It seems like firefox has forgotten how to display backgrounds and colors on web pages. I don't know anything about css or html, so I don't really know what the problem is, but I posted a couple screenshots of two pages and the error console for one in this album. I have tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling firefox, but with no luck. Chrome and Safari work fine. This is on an Acer Aspire One running Windows XP.

Myspace CSS hex-code woes

I'm having trouble using hex codes in my myspace CSS style sheets. When I enter the hex # (example "color: #99FF33") then save, the text i've entered is somehow automatically changed to "color: #99FF33" and the color remains unchanged. What is causing this? Is there a work around?

Is there a way to tint an entire web page a certain colour?

Is there a way to tint an entire web page a certain colour? As in, not actually altering the images and other content to be tinted that colour, just for the content to look that way when viewed on that page. It sounds to me like something that could be done with CSS but I'm really not sure. Google's results aren't turning up quite what I'm looking for, although maybe I just suck at finding the right words for this query.
