How to stop married man from flirting when it's reciprocal? I'm a notoriously bad crusher. Even though almost everyone would describe me as a competent, sensible, self-assured and promising young woman, I completely loose myself when someone breaks through to my inner core. It's not that it happens all the time either, but when it does it's with a vengeance. I would definitely describe it as a 'crushing' sensation.

Initiating awkward hook-up time! So here's the deal, MeFi. I developed a major crush on a guy after only knowing him for about three weeks, and, in a drunken flirtation session, stupidly told him. The flirtation has since stopped - since he just got out of a relationship and wasn't looking for anything serious, he thought it'd be unfair to me if we hooked up while I liked him (fair enough, I suppose). The thing is, after getting over the harshest part of the crush, I think I'd like to initiate something physical (only) with him.

Is it reasonable to not pursue 2nd dates unless you're infatuated? I've gone on several dates recently. While I've encountered several intelligent, nice, and not particularly ugly prospects, I haven't been thrilled, excited, infatuated, enamoured (and I'm certainly capable of that feeling). As a result, I haven't followed up. Is mine an immature or unrealistic expectation?

I've lived with my best friend and another good friend for 3 years. I've known them for 7--since we were freshmen in college. I've come to the conclusion that I'm bisexual, and that I have a bit of a crush on my best friend. I'm having trouble telling him that I'm not straight. I've read everyone's advice not to tell him I'm crushing on him, because there is a good chance that would be messy. What is a good way to tell him that I'm bi though?

About a year ago I met a dealer at a casino in another city. After a couple of subsequent visits, I mustered up the nerve to talk to her during while she was off-duty my last night there, and we got along well enough. It didn't take long until she mentioned her boyfriend, though, so how should I approach things when I visit again in a couple of weeks?

My husband has a crush on a woman friend of his. I heard it in the sound of his voice when he spoke to her on the phone. As I'm not a jealous person, this has really taken me aback. He doesn't deny it but says that it will never progress to anything else and that they are very good friends. I like her too, don't believe that either of them would ever be unfaithful. Just knowing that he has romantic feelings for another woman makes me feel terrible, and I can hardly look him in the eye. How do I deal with this and move along?

There's this guy I like and have liked for a long time. I don't know if he has any idea how I feel, or if it would scare him away if I just asked him "Hey, I like you a lot, how do you feel about that?" I only know him online, we've never met, but it feels like we've known each other forever. Do I risk the cherished friendship we have by taking this step, or do I keep the status quo and hope that someday he'll realize that I'm always here for him, waiting?
