Initiating awkward hook-up time! So here's the deal, MeFi. I developed a major crush on a guy after only knowing him for about three weeks, and, in a drunken flirtation session, stupidly told him. Is it reasonable to not pursue 2nd dates unless you're infatuated? I've gone on several dates recently. While I've encountered several intelligent, nice, and not particularly ugly prospects, I haven't been thrilled, excited, infatuated, enamoured (and I'm certainly capable of that feeling). As a result, I haven't followed up. Is mine an immature or unrealistic expectation?

There's this guy I like and have liked for a long time. I don't know if he has any idea how I feel, or if it would scare him away if I just asked him "Hey, I like you a lot, how do you feel about that?" I only know him online, we've never met, but it feels like we've known each other forever.
