I made took a simple chicken and noodles recipe and doctored it up a little bit with onions, celery, shallots, and carrots. Otherwise the same recipe (I added a like 2 ounces more broth than they called for, and cream of mushroom instead of chicken). I'm not sure what happened, but the result in my crock pot with ~2 hours remaining is very, very soupy, and doesn't look right at all. Is there anything I could do to salvage this and make it creamy?

I’ve gotten a bee in my bonnet about sous vide cooking, but I’m not sure whether I want to build from scratch, buy an integrated PID with a SSR (Dorkfood, Auber) and a crockpot, or an integrated solution like the Sidekic. I just made this recipe. It's been cooking for about 2 hours now. I went back on the site to check and see what the comments were like out of curiosity, and saw that the first comment directly recommended against using frozen chicken breast, as that can give bacteria the opportunity to build up as the crock-pot warms to temperature. I checked a few other places and they seem to agree that frozen meat in a crock-pot is a bad idea. I've already committed the ingredients to this meal, and I'd prefer not to waste them. Is there anything I can do to make this safe to eat?
I like to put cubed beef and chunked potatoes, onions and carrots in the crock pot and end up with dinner. I've tried lots of variations on liquid: water, broth, wine, coffee, beer. They all end up tasting meh, although the meat and veggies are usually delish. I'm tired of experimenting -- what do you use? One thing: I'm not going to dredge the meat in anything and sear. If I were up for that it wouldn't be a crock pot dinner. We have no food limitations except No Cilantro. Thanks!
